Paul pulled the needle from her arm. “Welcome back, Sophie.”
“Paul!?” She looked around. She was lying on a cot in an abandoned and ransacked shopping mall. There was a bandage on her leg, and a purple splotch on her arm from multiple pain-killer shots. “What happened? You’re dead!”
